Pregnancy Nutrition and Wellness Classes
A thoughtful and evidence-based approach to supporting your body and baby during pregnancy and beyond
LovingBirths offers families nutritional classes because we believe that healthy pregnancies are built from the inside out.
A Healthy Pregnancy Starts from Within
We know how important nutrition is to you and your growing baby and that you want to provide the absolute best start for your family. That’s why LovingBirths now offers nutritional education to expecting families.
Nutrition is surprisingly complex and can be overwhelming as you try to sift through disjointed and often conflicting opinions and information. This class is designed to bring clarity, confidence, and calm to this process and is taught by our instructor, Kalee, who holds a masters in holistic health and nutrition.
Our mindset is that this evidence-based education will aid in preventing nutritional deficiencies, optimize wellness and health and reduce nutritional stressors, thus setting mother and baby up for a healthy development, delivery and post-birth recovery.
Whether you are preparing for pregnancy, early in pregnancy, or further along, it is never too early—or too late—to begin supporting your body in the best possible ways.
Why this matters
Pregnancy, birth and lactation bring real physical demands, and how you care for your body during this time can influence how you feel day to day, how you experience labor, and how you recover afterward.
A Grounded, Balanced Approach
Rather than rigid rules, we focus on helping you build a steady foundation by understanding the changing needs of each stage of pregnancy and beyond.
Designed for Real Life
Every woman enters pregnancy from a different place—and your approach should reflect that.
This offering is designed to meet you where you are, helping you make thoughtful, realistic adjustments that fit your lifestyle, your family, and your goals for this season.
A Natural Complement to Your Birth Preparation
Nutritional classes are designed to complement your childbirth education experience.
As you prepare for labor and delivery, this education supports the foundation your body is building—helping you feel stronger, more prepared, and more connected to the process.
A Personalized Starting Point
Every mother and family begins this journey from a different place. Prior to your first session, you’ll complete a short form to help us understand your current routines and lifestyle.
This allows us to focus the classes on education and habits that feel most relevant and supportive for you and your growing family
Who These Classes Are For
LovingBirths Eating and Living Well Classes are designed for expectant mothers, as well as their partners and family members. We believe that eating well, movement, and daily lifestyle habits are important not only for the expectant mother, but for the family as a whole.
A strong support system makes creating and maintaining these habits far more sustainable over time.
Class Structure & Timing
Because there is an abundance of information that may not apply early in pregnancy, our classes are offered virtually via Google Meet and are thoughtfully spaced throughout your journey.
This includes a 2-hour introductory session, followed by two additional 1-hour sessions around the start of your second and third trimesters. These follow-up sessions create time and space to revisit information as it becomes more relevant during each phase.
Virtual classes allow you to participate from the comfort of your home and make it easier for partners and family members to be present.
An Overview of the Nutritional Class
The natural maternal desire to nurture leads many women to organically improve their wellness habits during pregnancy and lactation. Because the wellness space is often cluttered with opposing viewpoints, misinformation, and financially driven claims, it can be challenging to know what advice to follow.
This program is meant to supply accurate information for women and their partners on the enhanced needs of their changing body and those of the fetus.
Our goal is to provide a guiding hand in creating and maintaining nutritional, fitness, and lifestyle habits that will make this period of time as comfortable and nourishing as possible.
