Every birth story is unique, but each one carries something meaningful for the next mother preparing for her own experience.

Kadence and Dylan’s Story

Our experience with LovingBirths Collective and the LovingBirths Labor Method exceeded every expectation.

Although my labor required an induction due to a minor complication, my husband and I felt completely equipped to navigate the change in plans. The breathing, relaxation, and partner techniques we practiced allowed us to stay grounded and in control. We were still able to have a natural birth without Pitocin or pain medication, which was incredibly important to us.

My husband was able to suggest position changes, which was very helpful when I just wanted to focus inward. He knew how to create a calm environment—with low lights and fewer interruptions—so even in the hospital, our birth space felt just as we had hoped.

Having practiced the relaxation sessions at home that Taylor provides in her program made everything feel natural during labor—just like she told us it would. I’m so glad we listened to her advice and did the practicing. We worked together like a beautiful team.

Using the birth ball the hospital provided was a valuable tool throughout most of the first stage. As we approached transition, I had a moment of doubt. My husband immediately recognized it and gently talked me through it.

When the early urges to push began, I knew exactly what to do with those sensations and started preparing myself mentally for the next stage of labor. I definitely felt that boost of energy.

I even remember calling my mom during that time to share my progress—we laughed about something in between contractions.

I pushed mostly on my knees, leaning over the bed, using only the peaks of each contraction to bear down. It really was a well-controlled birth, even with gravity helping the descent.

What stands out most is how prepared we felt. Instead of feeling anxious when our birth didn’t unfold exactly as imagined, we felt confident making informed decisions and advocating for ourselves. The course truly empowered us to create the birth experience we wanted, even with the less-than-ideal start.
