LovingBirths Childbirth Classes
What You’ll Learn
Every LovingBirths class is built around four essential components.
Become Confident in the Design
Develop a clear understanding of how the body is designed to work during labor and birth, allowing trust to replace fear.
One of the most powerful forms of preparation is understanding the natural design of the birth process. In class, we explore how hormones, environment, and support work together during labor and how these elements influence the experience of birth.
Work With Your Body in Labor
Learn practical techniques that support the natural processes of labor, helping to reduce unnecessary discomfort and encourage effective, efficient progress.
Birth becomes more manageable when families learn how to work with the body rather than against it. In class, you’ll be introduced to practical comfort techniques, helpful positions, and supportive strategies that encourage the natural progress of labor.
These tools help couples approach labor as an active process—one where both partners can participate in meaningful and supportive ways.
Learn and Practice Deep Relaxation
Practice the deep relaxation skills that support a peaceful birth, helping maintain both physical comfort and emotional steadiness throughout labor.
Relaxation is not simply a suggestion for birth—it is a skill that can be learned and practiced. LovingBirths classes introduce techniques that help mothers release tension and conserve energy during labor.
Through guided practice, you learn relaxation methods that support comfort, focus, and steady breathing as labor unfolds.
Prepare Your Birth Partner and Advocate
Equip your partner or support person to be an active, confident presence—prepared to assist you through each stage of labor, help create a calm and loving birth environment, and advocate for you during moments of decision as you move through birth together.
Birth partners play a vital role in the birth experience. In LovingBirths classes, partners learn how to provide meaningful physical, emotional, and practical support throughout each stage of labor.
They leave with a clear understanding of how to support the laboring mother and help create a calm, connected birth environment.

Many couples who complete the class go on to have low-intervention birth experiences.
However, no class can guarantee a specific outcome. Birth unfolds in its own way, and continued preparation and practice after class play an important role in how you experience labor.
